Technology Equipment Instructions:

   Prepare Devices for Testing

(Testing window begins August 29th)

MOBILE DEVICES (Chromebooks, iPads and Laptops): should be charged, turned on and connected to the network for at least two hours before students use them for testing or other critical tasks.

ALL DEVICES (mobile devices and desktop workstations) - Turn them on and ensure they are connected to the network to allow critical updates to run.  This can take some time depending on how long the device was not in use.  Updates may require the device to be restarted. Schools should make sure that updates have completed and devices have been restarted before students use them for testing.  The update process will cause devices to run slowly and may interrupt testing.
